MOMANSA CB-6 is a cold applied, low cost, high solids, quick setting, water base Bituminous Adhesive, designed to adhere Application Consistency thermal insulation like polystyrene foam, expanded polystyrene bead board, polyurethane foam, low density fibrous glass and cork to metal, masonry, wood and to itself. It is also used to adhere all types of 8.4 pounds (1.0 kg/l) vapour barrier facings, papers and polyethylene film to insulation and building surfaces.

USES

Suitable for use in both old and new steel tructure. It can be used as a top coat including kitchen and ventilation duct, offshore structures, petrochemical & chemical complexes, pipelines, fertilizers industries, MS Bridges, and power Industry etc

MATERIALPREPARATION

Do not thin. Stir well, but do not use sticks or
boards, which would splinter or otherwise
contaminate the product. Apply only to clean,
dry, oil-free surfaces. Keep container closed
when not in use.

APPLICATION METHOD

The entire metal surface shall be coated by brush, spray or trowel with MOMANSA CB-6 at coverage of 3.5 to 4.0 m² per liter. Allow an open time of 20 to 30 minutes to develop full tack.

Install insulation; apply pressure to assure complete and uniform contact to the metal surface.

MODE OFAPPLICATION

Brush- Use clean paintbrush. Apply flooding brush coat of MOMANSACB-6 and spread out evenly. Allow proper open time, then press insulation or sheet barrier firmly into place to obtain complete contact Roller- Use medium size paint roller and dipped fully and spread out evenly.

Spray- MOMANSA CB-6 can be applied with airless spray. For airless equipment information, please contact your equipment supplier followed by product viscosity mentioned in data.

CLEANING:

Clean brushes and equipment with warm soapy water while wet or with mineral spirits (flammable) if dry. Non-flammable solvent such as methylene chloride is suitable when required.

STORAGE & SHELFLIFE

Store under cover, protect from direct sunlight and high temperature (>40°C). Shelf life is up to 12 months in unopened container when stored as directed.

Failure to comply with the recommended storage conditions may result in premature deterioration of the product or packaging.

HEALTH & SAFETY

As with all chemicals, caution should always be exercised. Protective clothing such as gloves and goggles should be worn.

INHALATION: Inhalation of vapor or mist should be avoided. Symptoms include coughing, wheezing, laryngitis, and shortness of breath, headache, nausea, and vomiting. Immediately shift victim to fresh air, and, get medical help.

EYE CONTACT: Flush eyes with water for 15 minutes and call for medical help.

INGESTION: causes nausea, vomiting, and loss of consciousness. If accidentally swallowed do not induce vomiting rather call for medical help immediately
